The ideal MLD Coop candidate is a student who:

• Wants to leverage engineering skills into business management or leadership
• Enjoys working with people
• Has a desire to learn how to train and develop people early in career
• Wants to gain experience with an entrepreneurial company

BTG's Manufacturing Leadership Development Coop is a six-month program organized in two phases:

• Phase One builds a basic foundation for people management and leadership and focuses on developing interpersonal, customer service, and team-building skills. This phase starts with one week at Blinds To Go University followed by a rotation in one of our Training Showrooms. You will have a manager and a mentor guiding and reviewing your development weekly. Phase One is designed to take 3-4 months and takes place in one of our showroom in Boston, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia or Montreal.



• Phase Two focuses on exposing the MLD Coop to a core area in our manufacturing operation. You will work on a specific project in production management, supply chain management or product engineering under the guidance of a manager. Potential projects will be discussed with the coop student during the interview process. All projects are important to the manufacturing operations and will challenge the MLD Coop. Phase Two takes place in our state-of-art manufacturing facility in Lakewood, NJ or Montreal, QC.

Successful candidates are invited back for a second MLD Coop focused on people development and leadership. MLD Coop you can grow into an Assistant Supervisor during the second coop. Candidates who complete second coops have completed roughly two-thirds of the MLPD program and are ideally situated to become Training Supervisors or Material Managers within six months of graduation.
