Blinds To Go is looking for an experienced material planner or analyst to help plan, buy and manage inventory for our two manufacturing facilities. He/she will be the lead planner/analyst for a group of products. We will invest roughly 4-6 months to teach the person our business and to develop the relationships necessary to having a long-term career with our company.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science from top university
- Two to four years of work experience in material/inventory planning or buying in manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Team-player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Planning Manager and Product Manager to set accurate planning criteria for specific product group
- Review vendor capabilities and set accurate safety stocks based on historical lead times
- Analyze product sales performance
- Help set parameters for inventory buying and replenishment
- Help develop forecasting tools to help identify inventory issues
- Day to day manager of inventory levels and all supplier relationships for both plants
- Buy inventory as needed against inventory and turns goals
- Manage and maintain good working relationship with suppliers
