What are Panel Track Shades?

Panel tracks are a new generation window covering solution for large windows, patio doors and space dividers. They are essentially a series of overlapping fabric or woven material panels, attached to gliding carriers on a sturdy, low profile track.

Vertical blinds or Panel tracks?

Really, it's a matter of personal choice, both solutions work well in a variety of different window types, particularly those whose panes slide side to side. That said, some benefits of Panel Track Shades are:

- Contemporary Look
- More Modern Alternative to Verticals
- Easy to Coordinate Style and Colors with other windows in the room
- Slim Track Design
- Easy to Remove or Adjust Panel Height
- Large Variety of Style Options

One great advantage of Panel Track Shades is that they coordinate easily with adjacent windows, even windows that are very different in size or function. Of the 14 available 100% polyester fabric panel styles, ALL are available as a roller shade and 11 styles can also be made in other products ranging from roman shades, to pleated shades, to vertical blinds.

Additionally, all four Natural Woven panel styles are available as a roman shade, with or without privacy liner.

Liner Options: (Woven styles only)

Light filtering - liner has thin acrylic foam backing for insulation.

Room darkening - has thick 3-pass acrylic foam backing for insulation and light blockage. Provides insulation from sunlight or drafts. Protects against UV rays, reducing fading of carpet and furniture.

Both liners are 70% polyester and 30% cotton with acrylic foam backing. Woven wood panel tracks provide minimal privacy unless a liner is added.

Valence Options (all Panel Track styles):

- 4" valance is recommended for smaller windows
- 6" valance is the standard size. Recommended for patio door sizes.
- 8" valance recommended for larger windows.

Edge Binding (Woven styles only):

Gives a finished, tailored look to the panel edges. Edge binding is on the sides, top and bottom of the panel. Adds a decorative color accent to the panels. Reduces the potential for fraying or splitting of reeds/slats.

Easy Care and Maintenance

Polyester Fabric Panels

Regular dusting with a feather duster or vacuum cleaner brush is recommended. Most stains can be blotted with a damp sponge and mild detergent. Before using anything stronger than a mild detergent and lukewarm water, test an unobtrusive corner of the shade. Do not immerse entire shade in water.

Natural Woven Shade Panels

Use a feather duster or vacuum on a low setting and stroke lightly over the shade. To clean with water, use a lukewarm damp sponge or cloth with mild soap and wipe with very light strokes. Do not immerse entire shade in water or use chemical cleaners.
