DevOps Engineer
We are looking to add a DevOps Engineer to our team to act as the liaison between IT and Marketing to facilitate coordination between operations, development, integration and deployment. This individual will be responsible for daily operations, implementing integrations, deploying updates, providing technical support and monitoring performance of the website. He/she must have prior experience and be comfortable implementing integrations/updates fast, accurately, and securely. DevOps Engineer must have strong software background and must be hands-on.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Implement integrations in support of marketing efforts
- Deploy updates and fixes as needed by conducting root-cause and building tools to reduce errors
- Conduct post implementation testings
- Develop custom scripts
- Configure, integrate, and support distributed application environments internally and externally
- Maintain website and ecommerce environments consistent with best practicesMonitor website and ecommerce performance to improve customer interaction
- Keep up with security best practices and ensure that systems are kept up to date
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field
- 3+ year experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Solid understanding of web technologies
- Solid understanding of platforms/operating systems, network/communications, and testing principles
- Knowledge of Joomla, Linux, Windows, Maropost, desirable
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
