Position Overview
Measure Technicians support our installation services by providing on-site measurements and quality, professional and consistent customer service. They are directly responsible for maintaining and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers daily during on-site home measurements. The Measure Technician works with design consultants to identify and resolve issues prior to production. The position is directly responsible for providing a positive customer experience, accurate measurements, and entering/transmitting measurements.
Key Responsibilities
- Communication: Ability to clearly communicate to all departments (sales, production, scheduling) about products and applications on measurement day. Requires clear handwriting, emailing, and detailed sketches.
- Mobile Office: Comfortable driving up to 6 hours daily between appointments.
- Functions: Traveling to various residential properties, taking accurate window measurements, and working safely around furniture (including reaching overhead and bending).
- Organization & Time Management: Maintain project records and complete all daily appointments within scheduled timeframes.
- Tech Savvy: Navigate mobile and web applications for data entry, photo documentation, and scanning/printing.
- Respond to and fulfill Shop at Home consultation requests via phone, email, and website.
- Develop strong working relationships with designers, stores, and installers.
- Ensure customer requirements are met timely while respecting BTG culture.
- Provide support and guidance to our Field Team.
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years of previous measure experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English and French
- Strong administrative skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Flexible schedule availability
- Receptive to feedback
- Ability to represent Blinds To Go as a brand ambassador
